Financial Transaction Services

The Financial Transaction Services Team provides purchasing, travel and payroll services within Penn Engineering. We centralize and oversee the flow of finances to compensate, equip and supply faculty, staff and students to support ongoing educational and research activities. Financial Transaction Services resources educate and enable financial responsibility helping to ensure that funds are managed in compliance with University and Sponsor policy.


Supporting purchasing needs across Penn Engineering, the PEFS team provides ordering, payment and processing assistance for goods and services utilizing a multitude of University approved procurement tools.

The PEFS travel team provides guidance, approvals and reimbursement for educational and research travel.

Travel Services


The PEFS payroll team supports the onboarding of new faculty, staff and students into the Workday system, manages exempt and non exempt employee compensation, tax documentation, research staffing and time approvals.
